The Blues and head coach Pat Lam have been lifted by the return to fitness of both Isaia Toeava and Anthony Tuitavake who were able to train this week with the squad.
Lam says that providing they take part in training all week will be available for selection this weekend when the Blues face the Crusaders.
However Blues forward Peter Saili is likely to be ruled out of Saturday's clash in Christchurch after sustaining a minor shoulder strain during last week's game against the Reds.
All Black prop John Afoa also suffered a calf strain during the Blues' 27-18 victory over the Reds and will be monitored throughout the week.
Afoa will need to take part in training this week to be available for selection.
Luke McAlister is still suffering from a calf injury and is expected to return to action for the Auckland Blues in round six.
